Spring 2009 - Previs

Hey Everyone,
Haven't posted any of the work that I had done last semester. I took one of Dana's Special Studies Animation Class, and managed to work on some Visual Development work. Since alot of it is still color based I wanted to build this portfolio up. Some of it is new work and old ones that I am building on. Two are from films that I worked on it Dana's class, Buki and Meteor.
Enjoy!

Plein Air Painting

I know it's been awhile, been getting portfolios ready to send out...
This was done at Mormon Rock, Cajon Pass, CA. Brigham and I go out painting every week. So stay tuned for more paintings. Was planning on going up to Big Bear Lake to do some painting but it's been so foggy and I hate driving mountain roads in the clouds and fog.

Picture Time from the Kustom Kulture show

Okay so I finally have some pictures up from the show. It was a good show, had alot of people go through, about 2200 people, according to the door counter and minus the repeat visitors. Thank you to all my friends, family, fellow students and people I just don't know, that came during the month it was up.
The next Big show will be for my Grad Show for the completion of the Masters program, so mark your calenders, Saturday, October 10th 7 - 10pm.
See you all then!
Inscore's (hope you enjoyed your date Aaron), folks, Grandparents and more all looking at the work. I had a couple of displays of my work for Painter Magazine on display. Wanted people to be able to see some of the other work I do.

My friend Hahn - thanks for coming and hanging out!

My Dad and I in front of Bring it by Saturday which is inspired by all those times of working on the car with him.

Marco Jessica and Krista at the end of the night.

Official Corel® Painter Bookazine Vol. 02

I picked up the new Bookazine from Corel Painter. It features some of the past tutorials and features from the Magazine. Two of the tutorials that I did are in there. The Vintage Travel Poster from Issue 19 and Adding People to a Landscape from Issue 20.
Thanks to Painter Magazine, Jo Cole and April Madden for including me!!
Hey all...It's been awhile since I uploaded anything. Had an art show that went really well and alot of other exciting things going on. One was I just got my computer back. I was in my studio and the cord got wrapped around the wheel and I backed up to do something and yanked my computer right off the desk. So I've been using traditional mediums for awhile now. Everything is back up and check back shortly for new posts.

Pull 'er forward.

My dad saw this scene at an automotive shop and told me the story so I decided to illustrate it.
so here it goes...
My dad takes the truck into an automotive shop to get some electrical work done. When he walks up he sees this scene. An Old man has a ladder in the bed of the truck and he is telling the kid in the truck to pull the truck forward as he paints.
My dad is always wanting me to do an illustration of these stories....so here you go pop!

Also, I always remember sticking the tools in my pocket and they would be way to big. There's other little details.....but that for me and my Dad. Hope you enjoy!
